Mission Statement

The Tioga County Drug Treatment Court a collaborative effort of professionals in the areas of law enforcement, substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment, education, employment/vocational training, and social services who provide comprehensive assessment, referral, treatment, and rehabilitative services for non-violent offenders with a substance use disorder.  We provide intensive supervision, connection to appropriate service, toxicology testing and monitoring to achieve successful treatment outcomes and management of their criminal case. We believe that substance use disorder is a disease that can be treated through individualized approaches that will reduce criminal behavior and restore participants as contributing members of society.

 

Court Information

Tioga Treatment Court (TTC) is one of many Problem-Solving Courts that are operated throughout New York State. Tioga Treatment Court is a hub Court that addresses both felony and misdemeanor matters. TTC is held on Mondays in the Tioga County Court’s main courtroom. TTC is a court- supervised treatment program for people who face criminal charges and who also have an alcohol and/or substance use disorder. The goal of TTC is to assist you to break the cycle of substance use disorders and criminal activity. This program is staffed by a team of community agencies and is led by the TTC Judge. Treatment Court is a voluntary program that includes regular court appearances before the Treatment Court Judge. If you are accepted into TTC you will be expected to engage in treatment and follow a treatment plan. Your progress is closely monitored by the TTC Treatment Team.
