The Sixth Judicial District Court Help Center gives free help to people without lawyers.

The Help Center can provide information and assistance with the topics below: 

  • how to start or file a case
  • how to submit a response if somebody starts a case against you
  • basics of filling out court forms
  • court procedures 
  • which court you need to file in
  • finding community agencies and other resources that may provide further assistance

The Help Center cannot give legal advice or tell you the best way to handle your case. If you need legal advice but cannot afford an attorney, some of the below organizations listed in the "Resources" section below may be able to help.
