Adult Dependent Support Law

Chapter 437, Laws of 2021, effective immediately. adds a new section 413-b to the Family Court Act and a new 244-d to the Domestic Relations Law to authorize a petition to be filed in Family or Supreme Court for the support of a disabled adult dependent until he or she reaches the age of 26.
 
The following forms created for use in Family Court may be adapted for use in Supreme Court to request an Order for Adult Dependent Support:
 
Petition for Support of Adult Dependent (Form 4-3c)
Order on Petition for Support of Adult Dependent (Form 4-7d)
