National Pro Bono Celebration Week

Pro Bono Celebration Week, sponsored by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, is a national event that takes place every year in late October with events all over the country. It is an opportunity to spotlight the difference lawyers can make in their communities, to recruit and train more pro bono volunteers, and to acknowledge the partnerships that form the basis for many successful pro bono efforts.

NYS Courts Office for Justice Initiatives’ Access to Justice Program is offering FREE CLE Training in Consumer Debt, Family Law and Uncontested Divorce in celebration of Pro Bono Week

Participants will receive free CLE credits in return for 30 hours of Pro Bono service in the NYC Civil Court Consumer Debt Volunteer Lawyer for the Day Program the NYC Family Court Volunteer Attorney Program or the Kings County Supreme Court Uncontested Divorce Clinic, to be completed within 3 months of training. Up to 10 pro bono CLE credits* are also available for service in these programs. All participants will be supervised by attorneys experienced in Consumer Debt, Divorce and Family Court practice. These courses are appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.
