Carolyn Cadoret, Principal Management Analyst, NYS Unified Court System, Office of Court Research

Carolyn Cadoret has been with the NYS Unified Court System for over 10 years. Her career started at the NYS Division of Parole as a policy analyst, and she later began her tenure in the Office of Court Research as an Information Technology Analyst. Currently, as a Principal Management Analyst, Carolyn manages the Court Research Data Team, the self-proclaimed “data squad” branch of Court Research.

The data team is responsible for calculating statistics that inform policy decisions, monitoring caseload health, and publishing legislatively mandated information. The team also works on the development and maintenance of the pending dashboards that are critical to the Chief Judge’s Excellence Initiative. In addition, the unit provides information to researchers, the media, and internal/external stakeholders upon request. Under Carolyn’s guidance, the data team uses new technology and knowledge of court operations/systems, to create useful, transparent, and consumable information.  Examples of this incredible work can be found here: https://ww2.nycourts.gov/court-research/index.shtml.

Carolyn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy.
