The Motion/Trial Support Office is the central clerk’s office for Bronx Supreme Court, Civil Term.
Papers submitted to this court are reviewed and checked for accuracy and compliance with CPLR and other relevant statutes in this office. Papers are initially filed in the Bronx County Clerk’s Office, located in room 118 for payment of appropriate fees, if any.

The litigant is referred to room 121 of this building, which is the Help Center. See link for more information on that office.
3. Why are motions marked submitted before the actual return date?
Motions are marked fully submitted as a default setting and are updated before the return date in
order to notify the Law Journal in a timely fashion so they can publish them.

Yes, paper motions should be mailed to the Bronx County Clerk’s Office in Room 118.

6. How long will it take for a case to go to trial?
The actual start date of a trial depends on discovery completion and your place on the calendar
upon filing a note of issue. The complexity of the case and whether there is a special preference can also affect timing.
7. How long does the Judge have to decide a motion?
On provisional remedies a Judge has up to 20 days to make a decision and 60 days for all other motions.

9. How do I check the status of a case?

10. Is an appearance necessary on the return date of a motion?
No, the initial return date is for submission of papers only. Check the Law Journal or www.nycourts.gov for future dates. See Case Information on the menu.
