Mission Statement
The Madison County Superior Court for Drug Treatment (Judicial Diversion Program) seeks to reduce crime and recidivism through intense supervision, treatment, and judicial monitoring of court participants who have been affected by the misuse of alcohol and drugs. The program endeavors to end the cycle of criminality and addiction for each participant by providing a balance between judicial accountability and therapeutic intervention. The focus will be directed upon improving the personal and social aspects of each participant and recovery efforts through connection to appropriate programs, including mental hygiene services, educational and vocational training, housing, and health issues. The primary focus of the Madison County Superior Court for Drug Treatment will be on participants becoming productive members of society by teaching them the skills necessary to address their alcohol and drug dependency and ultimately hope to bring an end to their criminal activity.
