Jeff Carucci, Director and Statewide Coordinator of E-filing, New York State Unified Court System

Jeffrey Carucci is the Statewide Coordinator of Electronic Filing in the New York State’s Unified Court System and the Director of the OCA Division of E-Filing. Mr. Carucci manages the coordination and development of the UCS’s Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF) as well as multiple other OCA applications, working closely in this regard with the court system’s Division of Technology. In addition to development and coordination, he oversees the outreach and training for County Clerks, Judges, court and county clerk staff, attorneys and the public statewide. He also directs the court system’s NYSCEF Resource Center, which serves as a statewide help desk and training center for E- Filing.


Mr. Carucci regularly conducts training sessions for the Justices, County Clerks and professional court staff and provides on-going training sessions for attorneys and their staff throughout the state. Mr. Carucci has presented on the status of e-filing in New York State at the national conference on e-filing sponsored by the National Center for State Courts and has been invited to speak at multiple Bar associations and committees regarding NYSCEF.

Mr. Carucci has been in the court system since 1985 and has held various positions including First Deputy Chief Clerk of NYS Supreme Civil Court, and Chief Clerk of the Motion Support Office in New York County Supreme Court, which processes over 35,000 motions annually. Mr. Carucci has spoken often on various procedural subjects including motion practice in the state courts at multiple venues including “Navigating the Supreme Court” and “Bridge the Gap” programs conducted by the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

Mr. Carucci has received the Bernard Botein Award from the Association of the Bar of the City of New York in recognition of his outstanding service to the court system, the Bar and the public at large. He also is the recipient of the NYLJ Impact Award which honors those whose vision and commitment to work for change has had a profound impact on the law and the legal profession in New York State.
