Q] Where can I find the Court Holiday Schedule?

Q] Where can I find Small Claims forms for New York City?

Q] Where can I file a Small Claims in New York City?

Q] How do I find Town and Village Courts?
A] Click on Courts then Town & Village Courts.

Q] Where can I find courts in specific counties or districts?
A] Click on Courts, then Trial Courts. Then choose if you want to see them by County or Judicial District.

Q] How do I find email addresses and phone numbers for staff on the specialized courts?
A] That information should be listed on that court’s website. If it is not, then contact: questions@courts.state.ny.us. Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate court personnel who will handle your request.

Q] How do I do a criminal record search.

Q] How can I find a list of Family Court judges in NYC on line?
A] Go to Courts, then select Trial Courts, select NYC, select Family Court.

Q] Where do I find Future Court Appearance information?
A] That information can found at https://www.nycourts.gov/howdoi/fcas.shtml

Q] How do I obtain access to Future Court Appearance System and Clerk’s Filings.
A] Click on Courts, then E Courts, then Future (Civil) Court Appearance System link. If you’re still having problems (password issues), contact them by email: casetrac_administrator@nycourts.gov.

Forms and Downloading

Q] How do I download a PDF?
A] In order to see a PDF document, you need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.

If you have previously installed Adobe Acrobat Reader but you still can’t see the document or you get an error, it is possible that your Adobe Acrobat Reader is out of date.

NOTE: There are known problems with the combination of Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Windows 2000 operating system. If your system has this combination of software, you will need to access our forms from a computer with a more updated operating system (i.e. Windows MX).

Q] I need to look up a Court Decision. Where do I go?

NOTE: The Courts in New York State are responsible for handling an ever-increasing number of cases from litigants seeking relief in a wide variety of matters. During the year 2002, the New York Courts issued over 3,500,000 decisions.

Many of the New York State Court System's decisions are available online. Select a court from the left menu to search through its decisions. If you need further help, please select the How Do I link from the home page, then choose Find A Decision.
