On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, The New York Supreme Civil Court at 60 Centre Street welcomed a visit by judges, executives and investigators from the Ningbo Maritime Court of China. They came to learn about general court procedures as well as the workings of the court’s Commercial Division.
The Office of Language Access provided interpreters for the guests who spoke Mandarin. They provided interpretation for the detailed presentations on court procedure and the visitors’ questions. The interpreter’s efforts helped to make the visit a successful one.
The visitors from China included Wu Xianjiiang, Vice President of the Ningbo Maritime Court; Liang Lin, Chief Judge of Case Filing Courtroom, Ningbo Maritime Court; Wu Shengshun, Chief Judge of the Maritime Tribunal, Ningbo Maritime Court; Ruan Zhongxiao, Investigator of Judicial PoliceCorps, Zhejiang High People’s Court; Lu Yimin, Vice President, Taizhou Intermediate People’s Court; Qian Changlong, Acting President, Shangyu District People’s Court of Shaoxing.
