Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award
On Friday, June 21, 2019, the Hon. William J. Giacomo, Supreme Court Justice, Ninth Judicial District, was presented with The Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award by the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County at their 36th Annual Dinner Dance held at the Glen Island Harbour Club, New Rochelle, New York. The award is presented each year to a Judge of Italian heritage who exemplifies the highest standards of the judicial system, is recognized for their steadfast commitment to justice and outstanding public service.
Past recipients of the prestigious award include: Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, Chief Judge Janet DiFiore, District Attorney Carl A. Vergari, Hon. Francis A. Nicolai, Hon. Vincent L. Briccetti and Hon. Anthony A. Scarpino.
