Part 5Q has adopted the Uniform Matrimonial Rules, Supreme Court, Kings County.  All submitted motions shall be made returnable only for Mondays and Tuesdays unless the case is scheduled for a Friday preliminary conference or otherwise directed by the Court.

Applications to consolidate existing Family Court matters must contain a copy of the Family Court petition and all existing orders.

Applications to modify an order or judgment must include a copy of the order or judgment from which the movant seeks relief.

Applications for enforcement or modification of child support or maintenance being collected by the Support Collection Unit (SCU) must include a full statement of the SCU account.  Screenshots will not be accepted.

Judicial subpoenas submitted to this part must be made returnable to the New York State Supreme Court, Kings County, Subpoenaed Records Room, 360 Adams Street, 6th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Applications for adjournment must be made to Chambers via conference call with all attorneys or self-represented litigants on the line.  Please have the index number available.  If an adjourn date is assigned, a stipulation must be sent to KSCCVPART5Q@nycourts.gov the day prior to the scheduled appearance.  All adjournments are subject to final approval by the Judge.

All parties must be present for every appearance, whether virtual or in-person unless excused by the Court.
