COURT OPERATIONS DUE TO COVID-19

*** Please click here for court information. ***

Ithaca City Court continues to follow all guidelines from the State of New York for the return to in-person operations due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The courthouse is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Given the ongoing health concerns, it is recommended that you call, email, or mail the court whenever possible in lieu of an in-person appearance. Our email address is IthacaCityCourt@nycourts.gov and our mailing address is 118 E. Clinton Street, Ithaca, NY 14850.

Face masks are required before entering the courthouse and 6-foot distancing rules will be enforced. You will also be asked a series of Covid-19 risk factor questions. These protocols are essential to the health and safety of our staff and community.  The Court’s security, based upon information provided and current safety standards, may prohibit you from entering the courthouse.

If you are scheduled for a virtual appearance, please use the link provided to choose your meeting room: http://ww2.nycourts.gov/virtual-meeting-links-30996

The date and time for those appearances will be sent to you (or your attorney) as well as instructions on how to attend the virtual appearance.

Traffic infractions do not require a personal appearance and may be handled by mail or email. For additional information, see the City Prosecutor’s Traffic Ticket page at: https://www.cityofithaca.org/648/Traffic-Tickets

Traffic non-jury trials are currently being scheduled and you will be advised of the next court date.

All pending civil matters are being scheduled as permitted by Executive and/or Administrative order, and written notice will be sent out to the parties as required/permitted.

If your contact information has changed, please call the Court between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 607-216-6660.

If you wish to make a payment, you may do so by mailing a money order or certified bank check to Ithaca City Court at the address listed above.  You may also pay via credit card authorization form by accessing that tab to the left on this page. THE COURT DOES NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL or BUSINESS CHECKS as a matter of practice.  Attorney firm checks are accepted.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation through this healthcare situation.
