Implicit Bias

This session will explore the growing field of research into our susceptibility to unconsciously approach people and situations with inherent expectations and assumptions that affect our interactions. The underlying science, risk factors that exacerbate these biases and strategies on how to reduce the influence of implicit bias in the workplace will be discussed.

 

Sexual Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace

Overview of anti-harassment, anti-discrimination laws and UCS policies; theories of discrimination; examples of verbal, nonverbal and physical harassment; options for reporting.
