On Thursday, December 12, 2019, The Fraternal Order of Court Officers of New York State (FOCO) began distributing teddy bears collected during its Fifteenth Annual Teddy Bear Drive. Nassau County Court Officers (complete with Santa hats) loaded the jury bus at Nassau County Supreme Court to begin delivering teddy bears to children in local area hospitals. Teddy Bears were collected in each courthouse in Nassau County.

Over the years FOCO has proudly given more than 14,500 teddy bears to hospitalized and less fortunate children in our communities at the following locations: Long Island Jewish at Franklin General Hospital, the Interfaith Nutrition Network, Nassau University Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House, Cohen Children's Hospital, NYU Winthrop University Hospital, the Winthrop University Hospital-Pediatric Oncology Ward and Our Lady of Loretto Outreach. This project has been successful thanks to the generosity of the courthouse community in Nassau County where collection sites were setup in all Nassau County courthouses.
