The Motion/Trial Support Office is the central clerk’s office for Bronx Supreme Civil Division. Papers submitted to this court are reviewed and checked for accuracy and compliance with CPLR and other relevant statutes in this office. Upon compliance the papers are then sent to the County Clerk’s Office, which is located in room 118 of this building, for payment of appropriate fees, if any. Computer entry of papers filed and subsequent decisions or orders signed is done in room 217. Calendars are generated in this office and motions are readied for submission to the court parts. Subpoenaed records are delivered and stored in room 217 pending trial. Support staff for the Civil Division courtrooms is located in this office.

Motion calendars are marked two days before the return date in order to notify the Law Journal in a timely fashion so they can publish them.
Yes, allowing enough time for mail delivery. With motions, be sure that they reach our office at least five business days before the return date. Keep in mind the time needed for security checks, and be aware that even overnight delivery of mail may not reach us in time.
The actual start date of a trial depends on discovery completion and your place on the calendar upon filing a note of issue. The complexity of the case and whether there is a special preference can also affect timing.
On provisional remedies a Judge has up to 20 days to make a decision and 60 days for all other motions.

No appearance is required on the initial return date of any motion on the submit calendar in Room 217. Discovery related motions are rescheduled for a future date for oral argument.
